It almost seems impossible for the Mayans, who lived over 1,500 years ago, to design and construct such a masterpiece of limestone structures.

Mayan history is truly fascinating. The Mayans accomplished so much, including their system of communication using hieroglyphics, the Kuculkan pyramid itself, and other structures around Yucatan. Kuculkan has 91 steps on each of the four sides and a final one on the top equaling 365. This temple was built as a physical representation of the calendar.
